March 2023 – The new edition of the Green Management and Corporate Sustainability Course by the Bocconi University Department of Management and Technology kicks off.
Preserving the integrity and resilience of social-ecological systems is key to building a sustainable society. Climate change, ecosystem degradation and energy are among the most pressing issues receiving wide attention from political institutions, governments, consumers and the public.
These challenges have emerged as key drivers for many organisations around the world. Companies must address sustainability issues by leveraging their knowledge and skills to develop and deploy green technologies, sustainable business models and innovative practices.
The course aims to acquaint graduate students with these challenges by providing an understanding of the risks and opportunities related to climate change and relevant regulatory frameworks (the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement, the Glasgow Climate Pact) and analysing the strategic responses of companies.
The Course will also include Carbonsink, thanks to the presence of our experts Andrea Maggiani (Founder, Carbonsink and Strategy Director, South Pole) and Aurora D’Aprile (Media & Climate Policy Advisor, Carbonsink) with two speeches respectively dedicated to corporate decarbonisation plans and the main developments emerging from the latest COPs.
