April 2019 – Carbonsink is proud to take part in the fourth edition of the Business & SDGs High Level Meeting, the annual initiative promoted by Global Compact Network Italy (GCNI), aimed at stimulating confrontation, reflection and sharing of experiences on highly topical issues, and priorities for aspiring to achieve Global Goals.

“Mobilizing Broad Markets to finance the SDGs” is the focus of the fourth CEO Meeting, hosted this year by Terna, one of GCNI’s “Founding Promoter” companies. The event will host the top management of the main companies participating in the United Nations Global Compact.

The GCNI operates, first of all, to promote the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles at the national level, through institutional dialogue, the production of knowledge and the dissemination of good practices. To date, more than 60 business and non-business entities (private foundations, business associations, universities, etc.) have joined the Network.

Andrea Maggiani, CEO of Carbonsink, will take part in the initiative that the Finance is today essential to encourage the transition to the so-called Climate Neutrality and towards sustainable development.

The round table will indeed be an important opportunity for networking and sharing future scenarios connected to the theme of finance in support of a transformation of the markets consistent with the criteria of economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Confidence in climate objectives and the use of Sustainable Finance to tackle climate change is fundamental and Carbonsink is certain that by bringing sustainable financial instruments closer to businesses, the private sector can contribute to raising awareness of climate change global.
