May 2022 – Carbonsink is a technical partner of “Cibus – 21° Salone Internazionale dell’alimentazione” to be held from 3 to 6 May in Parma.

We are proud to be able to participate and contribute to one of the most important fairs dedicated to Italian agri-food, which has become an unmissable event for the entire community.

As a Technical Partner we accompanied and supported Fiere di Parma in developing its carbon strategy.

On the one hand, by understanding Fiere di Parma’s impact and identifying a plan to reduce its emissions. On the other, by achieving Carbon Neutrality in the three necessary steps (Measure – Reduce – Compensate), in line with PAS 2060.

During the four-day event, many conferences, round tables, seminars and talks will be held: an opportunity to take stock of the most relevant issues regarding trends in Italian agro-foods.

Carbonsink will take part in “Cibus4Sustainability: industry and distribution best practices” on 4 May at 4.30 p.m., where Ilaria Mantegazza (our Key Account Manager) will explain how to give transparency and value to the achievement of carbon neutrality and how to help consumers understand the process.

In addition, on 5 May from 2.15 p.m. onwards, “Acting for the climate in the agro-food supply chain” is scheduled, moderated by Alessandra Puato, journalist for Corriere della Sera. Speakers will include Davide Tonon (Technical Lead – Food & Agro Value Chain of Carbonsink) together with Vitaliano Fiorillo (Lecturer in Operations & Supply Chain Management of SDA Bocconi), Ilaria Lenzi (Sustainability Manager of Gruppo San Pellegrino), Luca Travaglini (Chairman & Co-Chair di Planet Farms), and Davide Rocca (Responsabile Agronomico Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro – Soc Agricola – Casalasco Società Agricola S.p.A), to understand how the food sector can contribute concretely to the mitigation of climate change and the net-zero transition.
